Nepenthes, already one of the best retailers in the business, is extending its reach by launching a magazine, NEPENTHES in print, according to Fashion Press.
The first issue, launching this season, already features some big time stories, including one where Engineered Garments designer Daiki Suzuki discusses his brand's Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The magazine is also profiling Japanese stylist Naoki Ikeda and the artist Peter Beard, who is famous for his photography on endangered animals and has worked with Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, and The Rolling Stones.
It also should be noted that Nepenthes is known for putting out strong editorials with its brands EG, Rough&Tumble, and Needles. That talent should trickle over into the magazine and make it that much more visually appealing.
There will be a new issue of NEPENTHES in print every season. The first edition is out in Japan now with a global release to follow soon.
