A group of thieves held up a packing facility in Paris and stole 500 Hermès bags worth $1.7 million, reports WWD.

The robbers coerced the manager, who was working by himself at the supplier CAMS, which had been contracted by Hermès, to load a truck full of the bags. Police are still on the lookout for suspects, but noted, "The mode of operation suggests they were a well-prepared team."

The value of the bags ranged anywhere from $535 to $5,354. The haul probably included the Birkin Bag, which Hermès produces, and is one of the most coveted purses in the world. You might recognize it from the bag Kanye West let his daughter North draw all over as a birthday present for Kim Kardashian.
