Supreme are definitely up into high gear now that Spring/Summer 2015 is fully underway. Last week we saw the Clarks collaboration drop, and this week we see Supreme's first collaboration with Boston-based 47 Brand, and it looks beyond lit. The collection honours the New York Yankees, who obviously share New York roots with Supreme, but who are surely not such heroes for the guys over at 47 Brand, the company that was born out of the shadows of Boston's Fenway Park, home to the Boston Red Sox, a fierce rival of the New York team.
None-the-less, the Yankees are being honoured, and it's not for some fleeting success; the New York baseball team are one of the most successful clubs in professional sports history, having one 18 division titles, 40 American League pennants, and 27 World Series championships. All of those are Major League Baseball records. That's some legacy, kid.
The collection features the Leather Varsity—as seen in the season's preview and lookbook—a hooded Coaches jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, a mesh baseball jersey, a 5-panel snapback, a crusher, and the grail of the entire collaboration, a Box Logo T-shirt, with the iconic New York Yankees logo on the back. Gotta cop one of those Yankee blue Bogos, son.
The first drop of the collaboration will drop in New York, Los Angeles, London, and online stores on March 12, and in Japan on March 14. The second drop, which will include the jersey, the Box Logo, and the crusher will drop in Mid June.
