The French holding group Kering, which owns brands like Gucci, Puma, Bottega Veneta, and Saint Laurent, released its annual earnings yesterday.
Shake ups in creative direction is the connecting theme throughout the report. The biggest headline is that in the three years since Hedi Slimane came on board for Saint Laurent, its revenue has doubled. In 2014 alone Saint Laurent's revenue jumped 27 percent to €707.3 million euro (approximately $803.3 million). Kering is surely hoping it can work this same magic with the faltering Gucci and Puma, which just appointed Alessandro Michele and Rihanna as creative directors, respectively.
