British contemporary label Whistles has teamed up with Swedish raincoat specialists Stutterheim on a collaborative, unisex piece. The coat, an adapted version of the popular Stockholm coat, is completely waterproof and has a bold graphic striped hem.

“Whistles collaborations are about finding experts in the market and working with them to produce beautiful, functional, carefully crafted exclusive pieces” Jane Shepherdson, Chief Executive Officer of Whistles, said in a statement. “Stutterheim was chosen because it produces the highest quality rain-wear and its simplicity, functionality and timeless style perfectly complements the Whistles aesthetic.”

The coats will come in both navy with orange and white stripes, and grey with white and black stripes. They will be available in sizes XXS through XL and will retail for $450.

Stutterheim founder Alex Stutterheim was inspired to create a modern raincoat after discovering his grandfather’s old raincoat in an abandoned barn. After making a prototype based on the coat, Stutterheim brought it to the last standing textile factory in Sweden, in the small town of Borås. Each coat is still handmade, signed, and numbered by the seamstress to ensure the highest quality. The label counts Kanye West among its celebrity fans, and even had a special piece in Jay Z's Barney's Collection

Check out some images of the coats below. Look out for the Whistles x Stutterheim Stockholm raincoats in March.
