This past Saturday at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala, performance artist Marina Abramovic added to the "experience" by staging a party environment that included beds, silk robes, and James Franco.

Abramovic collaborated with Costume National to create a new kind of party inside Hangar 8 at the Santa Monica Airport. "There are so many ways of entertaining," the artist told Style.com. "I am proposing in my way as an artist the possibility of entertaining that’s never been used before." She came up with the idea to have guests "dressed in pajamas or in beds, so that everyone is equal."

The Gala also featured an onstage performance by Abramovic, a screening of her 3D short film, a "Silent Party" during which guest wore noise-canceling headphones from Samsung, a pre-2015 collection fashion show by Costume National’s creative director Ennio Capasa, and a screening of Marco Brambilla's Evolution (Megaplex). "Usually these parties are always boring, always the same," said Abramovic. According to Artnet lots of stars were there, including James Franco, UsherCara Delevingne, Johnny Depp, Joaquin Phoenix, and Zach Braff.
