Last week Nike teased a refresh of its ACG (All Conditions Gear) sub-line of outdoor gear that included a brand new logo. Today, it has revealed that ACG is being reborn as NikeLab ACG, and will concentrate on sport utility for city dwellers versus those who love the Great Outdoors.

Nike worked with Berlin-based designer Errolson Hugh on the inaugural capsule collection that launches Dec. 18. The collection will include two jackets, two tops, one pant, one backpack, and two pairs of shoes. Hugh is the co-founder of Acronym, a design agency focused solely on producing fashionable yet functional technical apparel. The new collection will see Hugh’s knowledge of fit and construction partnered with Nike's leading textile technology of Tech Fleece, Dri-FIT Wool, and Flyknit. The collection promises to focus on impeccable fit as well as function, with a number of garment features that will work in the wearer's favor no matter what the setting or conditions. For example, the NikeLab ACG 2 in 1 Men’s Jacket features a removable outer shell.

Along with the news of the collection comes a lookbook that perfectly showcases that even with the refresh, NikeLab ACG is still very much focused on mobility and weather protection despite changing its thematic location. Check it out below and watch for the NikeLab ACG Collection to launch Dec. 16 at nike.com/nikelab in North America, Western Europe and Japan, and at select retail locations around the globe.
