He's documented youth movements for years, and could teach anyone aspiring to do the same, a lot.

2014 is Boxfresh's 25th year as Boxfresh, and to celebrate, the brand has been curating a series of unique events, which is concluding with 89:14 – A Street Style Journey, an exhibition that celebrates seminal moments in British streetwear from 1989 to 2014, taking place at East London's Londonewcastle Project Space.

The exhibition began today, and continues until Sunday, December 7, and takes visitors on a journey, showcasing the defining street style trends of British style from the past 25 years, and is curated by young archivist and curator Tony Turk. The exhibition documents the reasons why people chose a certain look and how trends can connect and mutate; creating tribes from the catwalk to the street, and visitors are encouraged to join the never ending discussion on the evolution of streetwear.

Just announced is a talk by Ewen Spencer, the British photographer and reknowned youth movement documentor, who will be talking through the story of his 'Open Mic' project, with a special screening of the film at 3pm on December 7. We strongly recommend you head to the exhibition and Spencer's talk, and hear a little more about the roots of the British streetwear scene.
