This week, Swedish label Nudie Jeans is blessing us with a limited-edition denim release touted as the brand’s heaviest option to date. Fittingly dubbed the Steady Eddie Heavy Japan, these 18 oz , 100 percent organic selvage jeans were created to celebrate the expert craftsmanship that goes into making high-quality selvage denim.

Spun, weaved, and assembled entirely in Japan, each pair is made with 1 kilo of organic Turkish cotton, 2.6 meters of 18 oz Kaihara selvage, 2.45 meters of thread, six rivets, and four silver-plated buttons. It takes about five-six days to create one of these joints, so you know you’ll be getting some quality jeans that were built to last.

Though officially launching tomorrow, you can secure a pair at Nudie Jeans online store today. Each purchase comes with its own Unica box that holds the denim, a book, a poster, and an organic cotton “Tenugui”—a Japanese towel that serves as wrapping.

Take a look at the Steady Eddie Heavy Japan denim below. If you like what you see, you’ll want to head to Nudie Jean’s website fast; this release is limited to only 1,000 pieces.
