Billy Reid enters a whole new category with the launch of its denim line, MSL Denim. The designer, who planted a cotton field in Alabama to ensure organic and quality cotton, brings this same dedication to excellence to the new denim collection.

The MSL acronym serves as the name for Billy Reid's American-made items, which now includes this denim collection, and it's also the code for Alabama's Muscle Shoals airport, representing Reid's dedication to Southern tradition and heritage.  The new collection of jeans features some impressive details, like selvedge at the hem, fly, and coin pocket, a leather patch stamped with "Made in the USA" above the back right pocket, leather-backed rivets, and copper-brushed buttons.

A durable 12-ounce denim sourced from Japan is used for all three styles—Dry, the collection's raw offering, Six Months Worn, a medium wash jean, and 12 Months Worn, the lightest wash of the line. Each finish will be available in either standard or slim-cut fits.

The denim collection will be available at Billy Reid boutiques and online today.
