Reebok Classics has commissioned a brand new retrospective of the British footwear brand, with help from lifestyle magazine The Rig Out.

Give Me Your Classics and I'll Show You the Future is a retrospective of two parts; A short film, entirely British-made; directed by Antony Crook, cinematography by Four Lions director Lol Crawley, a voiceover from Paul Popplewell, and an accompanying book. The film was shot in Bolton—the birthplace of Reebok—and Manchester, and examines Reebok's roots, cultural significance within Britain and the residual impact of the brand today. The Union Jack still has pride of place on the classics' label. As well as acknowledging just how much Reebok has done for the UK Sneaker industry, the history of Reebok's place at the heart of British subculture is for sure a fascinating one.

Both the film and the book from Give Me Your Classics And I'll Show You The Future are out now, and you can watch the trailer for the film below.
