Polo Ralph Lauren Shut Down NYFW With a 4D Runway Show

Ralph Lauren presents the Spring 2015 Polo for Women collection with 4D hologprahic effects.

Ralph Lauren took New York Fashion Week into another dimension Monday night. And it was as epic as it sounds.

Following sunset at Central Park’s Cherry Hill, hundreds of guests gathered to view the Spring 2015 runway show for the new Polo Ralph Lauren women’s line. Now it goes without saying that such an event demands next-level production, but we doubt any of the attendees were expecting six-story-tall holographic effects.

That’s right, Ralph Lauren revisited his love for lights and 4D technology by utilizing water-screen projections of hyperreal models walking in front of NYC landmarks.

“I really wanted to do something big for the new Polo Women’s brand—something set in the city—that felt modern,” the designer said. “We returned to Central Park, a place I love, and captured the spirit of Polo with a truly innovative mix of fashion and technology.”

Take a look at clips from the high-tech extravaganza below. And if you’re impressed by what you see, be sure to check out the public showing at 9 p.m. today in the same location. If you’re unable to attend, a video of the event will also be posted on RalphLauren.com.
