In something that seems ripped from the The Social NetworkLindsay Lohan along with her brother, Michael Jr., are being sued by Fima Potik for allegedly stealing the concept for a celebrity-meets-fashion e-commerce site.

After getting out of rehab, Lohan and her brother collaborated with Potik on an e-commerce concept that allowed users to shop the "virtual closets" of friends and celebrities, with those involved receiving a cut of the profits. The concept, known as Spotted Friend, was mentioned by Lohan on twitter in July 2013, and the website at one point stated that it was a "Fima Potik & Lindsay Lohan Production.”

Enter Vigme, a completely separate concept that was created by Lohan's brother and the pair's business partner, Christopher Roth, which also involves the idea of sharing clothing via virtual closets. The start up of this new website comes after roughly a year of being apart of the Spotted Friend team.

After discovering the similarities between Spotted Friend and Vigme, Potik sent a cease-and-desist to the Lohans, claiming that he himself "created and developed the idea for a mobile application that allows users to access celebrities’ and friends’ ‘virtual closets’ and to directly purchase fashion items and accessories from these ‘virtual closets."

Lindsay's legal team has quickly denied the allegations claiming that "allegations of any impropriety in Lindsay Lohan’s business relationship concerning this Web site are inaccurate and clearly designed to capitalize on her worldwide recognition as a fashion icon.”

While we wouldn't go so far as to call Lindsay Lohan a "fashion icon," this could be an example of a celebrity legal cash-in/publicity stunt. With neither Spotted Friend or Vigme actually live yet, it seems both parties are currently stuck at a standstill.
