'47 Brand was founded by two brothers living in the shadow of Fenway Park—the Boston Red Sox stadium—in 1947. They saw the passion of the sports fans there and moved from selling newspapers to making and selling pennants for 25 cents. They eventually bought the building opposite the stadium and began producing hats that would become the symbol for sports fans' unwavering loyalty.

60 years later and the brand has expanded beyond sports, producing licensed apparel from dugout jackets and crewnecks to caps and beanies. They are an officially licensed partner of Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Hockey League, and the National Basketball Association, and they still own the building opposite Fenway Park, known locally as “the souvenir store across the street from Fenway.”

September sees the release of their new bucket hat and 'Oath' Snapback collection featuring various NHL teams, including the NY Rangers and LA Kings. The simplistic bucket hats have a slick snake-skin print trim combined with the team colours, for that vintage streetwear steeze, while the snapbacks have the nice touch of the teams' names printed on the underside of the peaks.
