Supreme and Brooks Brothers are officially collaborating on a seersucker suit. The two paired up on a matching blazer and trousers that takes a silhouette from the Brooks Brothers' Fitzgerald model, which has a slimmer cut and is more youth-oriented than classic styles. The lining of the jacket will feature a black and white star pattern. The suit will be sold at Supreme, and won't be available at Brooks Brothers.

WWD spoke with Glen Hoffs, the fashion director of Brooks Brothers, who said, “Supreme was looking for something that was iconic to Brooks Brothers and they thought that their customers were sophisticated enough for a nice suit. We thought that it was perfect because the fabric is so loved—it was introduced in the 1920s by Brooks Brothers.”

The process of collaborating began six months ago, when Supreme approached Brooks Brothers to see how more formal menswear might do with their clientele. “Traditionally, we wouldn’t have thought of Supreme,” Hoffs said. “But they wanted to test how suits would sell for them and what Brooks Brothers meant for their market.”

Do you think people are gonna line up for this drop?

Brooks Brothers' Fitzgerald Seersucker suit usually retails for $498, but is currently on sale for $249.
