If you call The Godfather a classic New York film, very few people will argue with you. It has been over 40 years since the Corleones graced the big screen for the first time, and people still quote scenes like Brando took home the Oscar this past weekend. Because New York is such an important character in the movie, people are interested in the sites where key scenes were filmed. Nick Carr over at Scouting NY created a comprehensive gallery that takes a look at how many of the filming locations have changed in the past four decades. Many of them have disappeared completely, but it's cool to see how landmarks and houses have withstood the test of time.

Head to Scouting NY for a ton of photos and addresses for the locations so you can relive moments like you know you want to.
