Unlike the rest of us ordinary folk, high profile people have the luxury of visiting museums without crowds. Museums will stay open late or close specific wings for the rich and famous. But only one man has the power to close down three major museums in one day—President Obama himself.

While the president recently came under fire for his comments about majoring in art history, he clearly has an appreciation for the fine arts (especially Glenn Ligon). This morning, Obama arrived in Amsterdam by helicopter and spent 90 minutes touring the Rijksmuseum, which was closed for his visit. The Rijksmuseum's two partner institutions, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum, were also shut down for Barack.

Obama visited the museum with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Amsterdam's mayor, Eberhard van der Laan. Standing in front of Rembrandt's The Night Watch, a painting Obama was most excited to see, the president spoke to the Prime minister about the situation in the Ukraine.
