Nowadays, just about everywhere you look are advertisements in some shape or form. Whether they're commercials on Youtube or actual leaflets on the streets, we live in a world saturated with ads—so much that it seems like there's a significant lack of art for the sake of art. In the words of Kanye West, "Where is the culture at?"

Much to our delight, artist Etienne Lavie has set out on a mission to replace all the ads in Paris with classical works of art in a project entitled "Omg, Who Stole My Ads?" The allotted spaces are now decked with timeless masterpieces instead of flashy advertisements that tell passersby what to buy. Check out some of the photos documenting the tongue-in-cheek project, some of which hilariously show Parisian citizens caught off guard by the unexpected art.
