Though Phlegm has always been somewhat of an enigma to even those who follow him, 2013 saw a whole lot from the Sheffield-based artist, who chooses to let his art speak for itself. Last year alone, Phlegm took over multiple art festivals throughout the world, even creating some dope murals in places like Albany and Kentucky. Therefore, it was only a matter of time before the muralist got his very own solo exhibition. To kick off the new year, Phlegm will be opening "The Bestiary," a massive installation piece at the Howard Griffin Gallery in London on February 1.
In case you're not familiar with the term, a "bestiary" is just a fancy word for a book of beasts, texts popular during the Medieval Ages. For this exhibition, Phlegm has created his own modern bestiary, telling the stories of his signature creatures on a large scale installation piece, reminiscent of the old Lascaux cave paintings. For the first time ever, visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with all of Phlegm's beasts, so you won't want to miss out. The exhibition is on view from February 1 until March 4, 2014.
