After putting up a touching mural on the Bowery Wall in memory of Hurricane Sandy, Swoon is heading inside to show off her delicate work at Galerie LJ in Paris. For the exhibition, titled "Motherlands," Swoon has installed stunning paper forms inside the gallery.

"Motherlands" includes some of the imagery that appears on Swoon's Bowery mural, including a woman a man creating buildings. In one room of the gallery, Swoon's signature Greek goddess Thalassa rises up from the floor. Other pieces display darker imagery, demons and creatures that seem both playful and sinister.

"Motherlands" is on view until Jan. 11, 2014 at Galerie LJ.
