Artists Ryan McGinness and José Parla held a joint release party and signing atThe Newsstand, an "independent media takeover" of the newstand at the Metropolitan Avenue station in Williamsburg presented by ALLDAYEVERYDAY. Fellow artists and fans of their work stopped by to check out the space and to have their books signed. Parla had copies of "Broken Language" and "Prose" on hand, and McGinness was presenting his new book "Sketchbook Selections 2000-2012," a handpicked collection of some of the artist's favorite sketches and notes, due to release in December.
Check out some of the photos from the event you wish you attended above, and check out ALLDAYEVERYDAY's site for an interview with both artists.
