Maiden Noir has been repping the Pacific Northwest since 2005. But unlike the many brands that come out the region, its clothes are less woodsman-like and more in-line with vintage military aesthetics. As it has with past collections, this season continues to tell stories and paint a picture of the unique inspiration behind its newest pieces.
Fall/Winter 2013 collection is titled “Kidnapping Mountains.” The inspiration comes from stories loosely based on the 1990 film Twin Peaks. Not to get caught up and do a whole movie review, let’s just take a look at the clothes.
The collection is comprised of standard military and workwear influenced gear turned into cool streetwear. Highlight pieces from the season include an updated Rancher jacket, a hooded Mac coat, and a dope chore jacket. Camo is a thread that runs through from top-to-bottom in hats, knitwear, scarves, pants, and shoes. And you don’t have to worry about treating this stuff delicately; the brand has always taken pride on providing firmly constructed items that can last.
