All good artists have one true goal: to be able to do "their thing." Well, Indio Beer wants to celebrate this spirit of creative individuality, so it has launched its first ever Indio Billboard Art Gallery contest to give artists the chance to do just that.

From May 21 through July 7, artists who are 25 years or older and reside in California, Texas or Illinois can submit their own 2D artwork that reflects Indio's mantra of "Do Your Thing." All artwork will be reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of renowned urban artists Federico Archuleta and Juan Angel Chávez; the award-winning band Kinky's lead singer, Gil Cerezo; Mexican artist and actress Diana Garcia; and a director from the National Museum of Mexican Art. Thirty-two finalists will be selected, and then one lucky grand prize winner will win $5,000 and have his or her work featured on a billboard in October.

To review the full rules and regulations and submit your own artwork, please visit Indio's Facebook page and click on the Gallery tab. You can also keep up with the submitted artwork there, as well as on Instagram, using #IndioGallery and #IndioBeer. All submissions must be uploaded (or submitted via e-mail to IndioGallery@formulatin.com) by Sunday, July 7 at 11:59 p.m. EST. So, don't wait. Do your thing now.
