Ida Skivenes, also known as IdaFrosk, is an Oslo, Norway-based food artist who also loves classical paintings. In an attempt to bridge the two worlds, she began recreating legendary artworks as toast. Thus The Art Toast Project was created, a delicious series of art history.
She also makes a point to only use healthy ingredients as her materials. With the canvas of toast, the artist creatively uses vegetables, fruits, nuts, and cheeses to make whatever colors she needs. The toast artworks are pretty impressive, capturing the essence of the classic painting with adroit minimalism. She's done Van Gogh, Picasso, Pollock, and Monet. You can see her exploration on Instagram.
