When artists create abstract portraits, perhaps they do not want their models to be recognized, in order to retain a sense of mystery. Through photo manipulation, Hungarian photographer Flora Borsiexposes the appearances of "Real Life Models" standing next to paintings. The warping abstraction of the works on canvas is translated to three-dimensional graphic renditions that create photo-realistic scenes. While the 19-year-old photographer bases her work on original paintings by artists of the 19th and 20th centuries including Pablo Picasso, Kees van Dongen, Amedeo Modigliani, Rudolf Hausner, and Kazimir Malevich, her style of creativity and inspiration reflects the hyperrealistic tension of the present era.
