Photographs Revealing Julian Assange's Life in Hiding and His Messages to the World

Using a parcel camera shipped to him in London.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been living inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London since June 19, 2012. Although he has been granted asylum, leaving the embassy would likely mean being arrested and extradited to the U.S.

Many are curious about Assange's well-being during this time. !Mediengruppe Bitnik took it upon themselves to find a way to get photos and messages from him in this strict quarters. They sent him a pinhole “lens” and camera that automatically takes a photograph every 10 seconds and sends it to the website, DELIVERY FOR MR. ASSANGE. As you can tell from the image grid, he writes messages that say "Thank you Ecuador," "Justice for Aaron Swartz," "Keep Fighting," and more.
