When isn’t Newark, New Jersey’s Mayor Corey Booker not making headlines? If he’s not saving women from burning buildings or typing up Twitter gems, the guy is somewhere else being full-time awesome. His latest is a project that builds on Newarks’s gun buy-back program that takes guns off the street. The guns are melted down and then turned into bracelets aptly named the Caliber Collection. Details even include the serial number of the gun that was used in a crime. Kind of creepy, but proceeds from the sales goes toward more gun buy-backs in Newark. Whatever keeps the streets safe, homie.
