JR & José Parlá: Wrinkles of the City, Havana, Cuba, the third publication from Standard Press, examines the practices of both artists and the social impact of their project at the Havana Biennial this past summer. The first collaboration between Parla and JR yielded a series of outdoor murals in which 25 of Havana's oldest residents—people who lived through the Cuban Revolution—are celebrated in distinct portraits.

At Art Basel Miami, Parla's work in Cuba will be honored not just through a book launch. The artist has worked with the Standard Hotel to create Cafécito Neptuno, a personal space that realizes Parla's tradition of organizing annual family style Cuban dinners. His experiences in Havana inform the aesthetic, the cafe becoming a tangible representation of the work in Cuba and an art installation for all hungry fair goers to enjoy.

Open 24 hours/daily through Art Basel and from 7am to 7pm until closure on January 3, 2013.

Standard Miami Beach, 40 Island Avenue, Miami Beach, FL
