Todd "REAS" James' solo exhibition Free to Be You and Me opened last Friday at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark. The show has two parts — the first part is a series of paintings featuring colorful, abstract Somali pirates and their AK-47s, and the second part is a recreation of the Vandal’s Bedroom, a large-scale installation that premiered at MOCA's Art In The Streets exhibition in Los Angeles. The concept revolves around the idea that both vandals and pirates step over invisible boundaries put in place by faceless power structures every day.
