American artist Mark Dorf creates dynamic landscapes of the Icelandic countryside by inserting digital, graphic elements into photographs of the country’s natural scenery. Dorf started hi “axiom and simulation” projet during an artist residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland. Dorf uses each image to further investigate his interest in the human condition, specifically focusing on the metamorphosis of physical space and objects with abstract mathematical and scientific elements.
