Richard Chai's Spring 2012 fashion show in Lincoln Center played host to front row attendees Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire. When the designer was asked how he felt about dressing NBA's hottest players for the event, Chai responded "I really respect both of them, they’re super talented and amazing at what they do, and there’s no kind of ego to it. D. Wade was so down to earth and humble, and Amar’e was really flattering and casual.” He also stated, "They're athletes and their proportions and everything are so different than how we dress. You think a lot of basketball players are enormous and unmanageable, but it’s really not like that. They are gods.” [Stylelist]
