Last Sunday saw grime emcee and co-founder of Boy Better Know, Jme, launch Nike London's first run-squad event FAST. The event — "You can run your mouth, but can you run Tottenham?" — brought together running squads to celebrate all things 'fast.'
Each team that took part had both their speed and their endurance challenged, pushing themselves to new limits in the hopes of being crowned N17's fastest. Squads such as Track Mafia and The Basement, amongst others, came together at The Cove Studio before taking to the streets alongside Jme. Every participant took part in a group warm-up before taking part in a grime themed bleep test that would put your school days to shame. The event was carried out to encourage young people to engage in something positive, through health and running. Keeping spirits high throughout the event, Jme went on to gift participants with BBK tickets.
