Can Anyone Explain the Giant Dildo in the Mets' Locker Room?

The Mets accidentally tweeted out a photo of a giant dildo located in their locker room on Friday night.

On Friday night, the New York Mets came away with arguably their biggest victory of the 2017 MLB season thus far. Down 7-1 at one point, the Mets staged a huge comeback and scored five runs in the 7th inning to take an 8-7 lead over the Miami Marlins. T.J. Rivera was a pivotal player for the Mets the entire night. In addition to putting New York on the board first with a solo home run in the 1st inning, Rivera came through with a clutch two-RBI double to tie up the game during the team's five-run scoring outburst.

As is the custom, the Mets' Twitter account snapped a photo of Rivera in the locker room after the game sporting a crown, which is given to the team's MVP in each Mets' victory. Now, it may be difficult to spot at first, but there appears to be a huge dildo in the shot as well. And look, this isn't a perverse way of saying that there's an elephant in the room...or is there? But really, what is that peeking its, um, head out of Kevin Plawecki's locker?

Can we just talk about the black dildo in plawecki's locker? 😂😂😂 #mets pic.twitter.com/CmbebDFEWI

It couldn't be anymore obvious that they're boots pic.twitter.com/iRsg3HtycZ

One person has argued that it's a boot.

There's been a mistake the black dildo is crowned as tonight's recipient of me pic.twitter.com/cEO72DrEyh

But another person was quick to debunk that theory.

The account @MetsCrown has taken the crown away from Rivera, and rewarded it to the true recipient of the night's honor.

And since it's a known fact that the internet remains undefeated, there's already a Twitter account for the Mets dildo. Even when the Mets win, they still find a way to lose.
