Every professional athlete knows that getting traded is part of the business side of sports. But that doesn't mean that any player involved in a deal has to be happy about it.
This past Friday, defensive end William Hayes was sent packing by the Los Angeles Rams, along with the team's seventh round pick, to the Miami Dolphins for their sixth-rounder in this year's draft. After posting just five sacks last season, Hayes's value couldn't have been all that high, and it reflected in their measly haul for the nine-year NFL veteran.
Hayes recently posted a video on Instagram discussing the trade, claiming that he was dealt for "a stapler and a coffee machine."
Even though Hayes wasn't pleased with the way his time with the Rams came to an end, he's more than grateful to spend the last four years in the league with their organization.
