Comedian Kevin Hart loves sports and fitness. We know this because of his frequent social media workout posts and appearances in the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game, among other things. Remember that time he was in (and should have won!) a three-point shootout with Draymond Green?
The 5-foot-4 multi-hyphenate has previously said he works out six or seven times a week, adding he is a “full-fledged workout guy.” He brought fitness to his Instagram today with a bench press videos dedicated to Steelers linebacker James Harrison.
It was pretty unspectacular. What was spectacular, however, was Joel Embiid’s response to the video. The 76ers forward—who is out for the rest of the year but still might win Rookie of the Year after playing in only 31 games—commented “SOFT.”
The reason for Embiid’s roast isn’t exactly clear. Was it the caption about how much Hart loves James Harrison, a noted workout warrior, that was soft? Or was it that Hart was doing half-reps (that bar isn’t even close to his chest) off the bench? Maybe Embiid was unimpressed with the weight (looks like 205)?
Regardless, the comedian took it well. Hart replied with laughing emojis.
Oh, and Harrison seemed to enjoy the video, re-posting it with a caption showing respect.
