Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian knew that he had big shoes to fill following Peyton Manning going out on top in his final career game at Super Bowl 50 back in February. Siemian was seemingly a diligent understudy to the legendary passer to the point where he is apparently taking on Manning's injury rehabilitation procedures literally from head to toe.

Since Siemian's sprained left foot is keeping him out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Siemian tweeted a photo Saturday of his impersonation of Manning's pose in the renowned photo of when the NFL icon rested his injured right foot in a cold tub while he wore his Broncos helmet with his team practice shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. Hee also held a digital tablet in his hands.

The photo of Manning, on the left, is from when he injured his right ankle in 2013.

As for the helmet that weirdly remained on Manning's head in this shot, he apparently kept his helmet on while he rested his foot in the team's training room cold tub so he could stay abreast on the offensive play calls that occurred in practice via his helmet radio.

Broncos' then-offensive coordinator Adam Gase further explained Peyton's initiative, "[Peyton] heard the calls, he'd repeat them to Julius and they were kind of -- it was a way for them to take two hours and stay in the gameplan."

Siemian did not wear the same exact Broncos shirt as Manning for the photo, but it's the thought that counts here. Despite their one year together as teammates, the pupil Siemian obviously listened well under the tutelage of Manning to keep his helmet on as much as possible.
