Toronto Raptors Mascot Breaks Flatscreen TV While Bringing It to a Fan Who Won It

The Raptor should have maybe got someone's help carrying the box.

The Toronto Raptors mascot, cleverly named "The Raptor," is one of the most entertaining (and clumsiest) mascots in the NBA. He can do a really great Justin Bieber impersonation, but his attempt to play Santa Claus went awry on Friday night.

As the Hawks played and ultimately ended up with a 125-121 win against the Raptors at the Air Canada Centre, The Raptor brought a one lucky fan who won a contest a brand new flat screen LED smart TV. But as The Raptor attempted to carry the TV in a Christmas gift-wrapped box down one of the arena's staircase, he didn't carry it from the bottom end of the box, but rather by the box's sides instead. Even if the box itself would have blocked The Raptor's vision while carrying it, they should've had someone help him bring it to the fan. But, by the laws of gravity and physics, The Raptor ended up with the unfortunate case of having the TV break out the bottom of the box and falling out onto the stairs, breaking the damn thing.

As you see the stupidity in the Raptor's IG clip above with the rightful caption that reads "that can't be good," you can see how this mascot should never get into the moving business and hopefully stick with his day job of making fans laugh.

Hey, at least the fan who won the TV didn't have to pay for it. Maybe there's a warranty somewhere in the box.
