New York Knicks president Phil Jackson found himself in some hot water last month following an interview with ESPN's Jackie MacMullan where he used the word "posse" when referring to LeBron James's colleagues. Since then, Jackson has remained relatively quiet, aside from retweeting something in support of The Posse Foundation, Inc.

On Tuesday, Jackson appeared on CBS Sports Network's 'We Need To Talk' where he kinda, sorta got into that now infamous "posse" remark.  "That's a topic I'm not going to discuss because, one, we're not supposed to discuss other teams' players in this position that I have here," the Zen Master said. "So I violated one of the tenets of our thing. And the obvious thing is, the word itself carries connotation. And I just don't understand that part of it, the word. So I guess word choice could be something I could regret. But yeah, talking about other teams' players, that's out of the box."

Did you spot an apology? When talking about the word, he said it "could be something I could regret." Oh, and now Phil doesn't want to discuss another team's players? While James has already made it clear that he doesn't want to meet with Jackson when the Cavaliers come into town tomorrow, the Zen Master doesn't seem all that interesting in a meeting with LeBron either. "No, it's water under the bridge," he said, when asked if he had plans to meet with James. "I don't think there was anybody hurt or harmed in this situation. I think LeBron's friend obviously had an issue with it. So we just let it go. It's not enough to talk about it."

Now, Maverick Carter is apparently "LeBron's friend," which is a step up from...you know.
