As LeBron James spoke with reporters prior to shootaround one day before his 32nd birthday, he reflected on his NBA career thus far, as well as looking at the 2016-17 campaign which the Cleveland Cavaliers star forward considers "one of the best statistical seasons of my career." While James's assist (8.6) and rebound (7.9) averages this season are at, or near, his career best numbers, his points have taken a considerable dip, leveling out at 25 points per game for the third year in a row. Still, with LeBron getting up there in years, it's (sadly) only a matter of time before Father Time catches up with The King.

In fact, one reporter pointed out how the last season where Michael Jordan averaged 30 or more points per game occurred when His Airness was at the age of 32. So, has James looked into what led to MJ's gradual decline? "No, I haven't, because our games are so different," LeBron admits. "He was much more of a scorer, and at that point, did a lot of post work, but our games are just different. His body is different, my body is different than his. You recognize the dominance in someone had at that age, but there’s no similarities in our game at all."

Considering how dominant James has been throughout his career, it's incredibly easy to draw a comparison to Jordan, who was also "the man" during his playing days. But, it's also easy to see that LeBron's style of play is nothing like MJ. Nonetheless, this will not be the last time both guys are mentioned in the same sentence.
