While there were many people back in 2014 who loudly wondered why the Browns would spend a first round draft pick on Johnny Manziel, there were not too many that predicted he would be tailgaiting like an average schmo just two years after Cleveland took him 22nd overall. Not only would that have been oddly specific analysis, but it would also represent an outlook that even the bleakest of draft prognosticators couldn't have anticipated.

Still, that's exactly what happened in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday night, when the man formerly known as Johnny Football was spotted eating steak, smoking a cigarette, and tossing the pigskin around a parking lot in frigid temps like a run-of-the-mill fan prior to the Giants' game against the Cowboys. In case you're wondering why Manziel wasn't doing the usual—answering questions from a cameraman as he strolls down an L.A. street towards his car—he was in NYC over the weekend as one of many former Heisman winners repeating their annual tradition of forming that really long line on stage behind the newest winner of the award, Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Just two years ago, Jerry Jones reportedly thought long and hard about drafting the Texas high school legend with the 16th overall pick before he was stopped by his son, Stephen. Instead, he chose Notre Dame guard Zack Martin, who has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons. He made the right choice on that one.

Check out the footage above to watch Manziel show off his arm—or at least what's left of it—in a parking lot. No one could have predicted he'd end up here on a Sunday night in December just two years ago.
