Von Miller has reportedly filed legal documents in Los Angeles to try and prevent a woman from releasing a sex tape that was shot during a trip to Cancun in June.

According to a report released by The Smoking Gun on Tuesday, the woman, identified as Elizabeth Ruiz, recorded a video of her and the Broncos star having sex with his consent when the two vacationed in Mexico along with a handful of other people over the summer. However, Miller claims he asked Ruiz to keep the video private and later requested that she destroy it during a phone call between the two. He says she responded, "Gotcha," but says she didn’t actually get rid of the video.

He also claims that, in September, his representatives were contacted by a Los Angeles businessman named Kevin Blatt who has a history of selling sex tapes. Blatt reportedly tried to sell the tape back to Miller for $2.5 million. Miller says he turned down the offer, and instead, filed legal documents to stop the woman from distributing the video after he learned that she also attempted to sell it to TMZ. TMZis reporting that Miller used the name "Doe" when filing legal documents and that he described himself as "one of the most talented people at his craft in the U.S. and the world."

At this time, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has reportedly issued a temporary restraining order preventing Ruiz from "distributing, copying, or releasing the tape," according to The Smoking Gun. Miller and Ruiz have not yet responded to the reports about the sex tape. Miller signed a six-year, $114.5 million contract with the Broncos in July—which made him the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL—approximately a month after the video was taken and two months before Blatt allegedly attempted to sell the sex tape to him.
