Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello has been named the 2016 American League Cy Young Award winner by the Baseball Writers Association of America, and Kate Upton is absolutely furious that her fiancée, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, finished in second place. And "furious" may be putting it lightly.
Well, not only is Kate upset, she can't understand how Porcello won even though he didn't receive any first-place votes.
Actually, Porcello did get first-place votes. However, he received fewer first-place votes (8) than Verlander (14). Porcello's victory was the result of receiving more total points, narrowly edging out Verlander 137 to 132. But now that we got that squared away, let's get back to Upton's tweet tirade, shall we?
Kate has since cooled her jets, but let's get one thing clear: everyone is happy to see Upton defend her man.
It almost makes you forget about...nevermind.
