Eagles third-year wide receiver Josh Huff was reportedly arrested on the Walt Whitman Bridge in Philadelphia on Tuesday morning after police pulled him over for speeding and found a gun and marijuana in his vehicle. According to CBS Philly, it's unclear whether or not the gun is registered, and the amount of weed found on Huff at the time of his arrest would reportedly fall into the "personal use" category. This would likely mean that Huff would only be subjected to a small fine for the marijuana from a legal standpoint, but if convicted of a crime, he could face disciplinary action for it from the NFL.

The Eagles were made aware of the incident a short time after it happened, and they released a brief statement to indicate that they are "gathering more information" about it:

Huff's arrest comes just hours before the NFL's trade deadline, which ends at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Many Eagles fans and analysts have been calling for the team to add a prominent wide receiver to their roster—their leading receiver Jordan Matthews currently ranks 38th in the NFL in receiving yards—and Huff's arrest is likely going to make those calls louder.

The Eagles selected the 25-year-old Huff out of Oregon in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. This season, he has recorded 13 catches for 72 yards and a touchdown. He also scored a touchdown on a 98-yard kickoff return against the Vikings last week.

Huff is yet to release a statement regarding his arrest.
