Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook played against one another for the first time since KD left the Thunder to join the Warriors on Thursday night, and it was obviously a hot topic on TNT’s Inside the NBA. After the game, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith discussed the fact that KD and Westbrook didn’t seem to communicate at all before the start of the game, and that led Smith to suggest that Barkley get a job at ESPN sometime in the near future so that they won't have to communicate anymore, either.

"Why don’t you go to ESPN and then I can not talk to you?" Smith asked Barkley.

Barkley’s reaction was classic Chuck. “They not gonna work me like a dog and not pay me,” he said, eliciting laughter from Smith, Shaq, and Ernie Johnson.

"Wait, why wouldn’t you go to ESPN?" Smith asked.

"They’re not gonna work me like a dog and not pay me!" Barkley said again. "They’ll have me on ESPN 1, 2, 3, ESPN News, ESPNU, ESPN Radio, and then come up with that little puny check."

"Nothing good happens after 1:15 in the morning in this studio," Johnson said, seemingly content to cede control to Sir Charles.

"They’ll have me on ESPN Deportes," Barkley said, "saying, 'Muy bien, gracias!'"

For what it’s worth, it sometimes feels like Barkley is on ESPN every other day doing an interview about something or other. It’s almost like he does work there. But that didn’t prevent this from being funny. This, either:
