The Texas Longhorns mascot knew exactly how to get students fired up for Texas’ rivalry game against Oklahoma Saturday. “Hook ’Em” stomped the yard so viciously that his rendition of the Juju Challenge has gone viral.

The Longhorns’ mascot broke it down outside of Texas’ Gregory Gym on campus Friday.

The clip gave Texas fans a reason to smile in what’s been an up-and-down season for the Longhorns. After opening with a 2OT win against No. 10 Notre Dame and blowing out UTEP, they’ve lost their last two, and fans are once again calling for the firing of head coach Charlie Strong.

Saturday morning, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit eviscerated Texas fans for being so quick to turn on Strong, and also came at the athletic department for not giving Strong a real chance to turn the program around.

If he's able to do so, we can only hope it’ll lead to more videos of Hook ’Em dancing.
