The No. 3-ranked Clemson Tigers went into Saturday's game undefeated at 5-0 to face North Carolina State, who had a record of 4-1 going into today's game. Both teams were evenly matched, and as the game continued the Wolfpack seemed like they were going to be the giant killers to hand Clemson their first loss of the season.

With just seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 17 and NC State had the final possession. NC State place kicker Kyle Bambard didn't have a stellar performance earlier in the game, kicking 1 for 3 on field goal attempts, and this was his chance to have Wolfpack fans forget his previous misses with this final 33-yard field goal attempt. You can see the missed field goal play in the clip above.

But Bambard kicked the ball too far wide to the right of the field goal post as time expired, sending the game into overtime. Clemson later survived the upset scare with the game ending 24-17 in the extra period.

Needless to say, NC State fans were not happy with Bambard missing the potential game-winning field goal to seal the W. They even began to blow up his mentions on Twitter, urging him to commit suicide.

You can see how these deranged Wolfpack fans slandered Bambard's name with salacious memes and comments, acting like their livelihood was at stake upon his missed field goal. Complex doesn't advocate this type of behavior, but we are just exposing the underbelly of fandom to you.

Yikes.
