Joel Embiid may "trust the process" so much that he responded to the news of 76ers first overall draft pick Ben Simmons breaking his foot with this Zen-like tweet:

Trust The Process 🙏🏿🙏🏿

— Joel “Troel” Embiid (@JoelEmbiid) October 1, 2016

But he also apparently trusts "regular white people" to help him develop his skills on the basketball court. In a Sports Illustrated article called—what else?—"I'm The Process", Embiid revealed his secret for how he first learned to shoot a basketball. He explained that all it took was watching a few online videos featuring "regular white people" to get the hang of it. "You know how I learned to shoot?" Embiid said to writer Lee Jenkins, just moments before answering his own question. "I watched white people. Just regular white people. They really put their elbow in and finish up top. You can find videos of them online."

Though he's definitely at least half-joking, that's still a really amazing answer. Shout out to all the "regular white people" draining Js on YouTube and helping turn kids into future NBA stars.

On Wednesday night, Embiid will get to show off his jumper during a regular season game for the very first time. He was forced to miss the last two seasons due to injury after being selected by Philadelphia with the third pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, but he will be back in the lineup for the team when they take on the Thunder in their first game of the 2016-17 NBA season.
