DeMarcus Ware didn't play during the Broncos' game against the Texans on Monday night. He sustained a broken arm during Week 2 of the current NFL season and has been stuck on the sideline ever since. The good news is that he could be back in the lineup as early as next week for Denver, but for now, he's been forced to serve as a spectator for the team. And to add insult to literal injury on Monday, Ware returned home after the Broncos' win against Houston and found that someone had broken into his home and stolen a bunch of stuff.
Ware didn't provide many details about the break-in, but he took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to reveal that he had been the victim of a burglary during the Monday Night Football game. He added, "Thank God for hidden cameras," at the end of his tweet, which means that whoever broke into his house could end up getting caught sooner than later. But as we mentioned, he didn't elaborate much beyond that:
Denver Police have not released any details about the alleged crime yet, either.
If Ware's home was burglarized, he wouldn't be the first pro athlete to deal with a situation like this. Back in March 2014, Nick Young came home one night after a Lakers game against the Magic to find that someone had stolen more than $100,000 worth of items from his house. We'll let you know if Ware provides any more information about his situation.
