When Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib reported to the Dallas Police Department on June 5 that he was shot in V Live strip club, he was telling a half-truth. The other half was that he accidentally shot himself.

After a four-month investigation of the case, Dallas police concluded on Tuesday that Talib somehow got in the way of his own bullets that hit him in the leg. The cornerback was taken to the hospital immediately after the incident, where he was ruled to be in stable condition.

Talib is now among other notable professional athletes who have accidentally shot themselves with their own artillery, including Josh Morgan, Plaxico Burress, Jose Canseco, Bryce Brentz, and Zurlon Tipton (RIP).

We hope that Talib learns from this experience to lay low from the nightclub scene and focus on defending the Broncos championship this season. But, of course, it's hard to tell a young millionaire pro athlete what he should do with his free time.
