According to TMZ Sports, Cam Newton rented an $11 million Beverly Hills mansion following the Panthers' Super Bowl loss to the Broncos back in February. He reportedly paid about $123,000 to stay in the place for 61 days. And while it might seem like a good way to get over a devastating loss, the rental is now causing a huge headache for both the owner of the property and the Carolina quarterback. TMZ Sports is reporting that Newton caused about $100,000 worth of damage in the home and is now being sued for that money plus another $180,000 in lost rent.

The owner of the luxury home is Jared Pobre, who is the husband of pro wrestler Stacy Kiebler. In legal documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Pobre claims Newton agreed that there would be no parties, no smoking, and no more than eight guests at a time in the Beverly Hills pad during his rental. But the housekeeper of the home reportedly ratted Newton out to Pobre and revealed that he threw a number of parties at the home during his time there. The housekeeper also told Pobre that Newton and his guests left cigarette stains throughout the home and did extensive damage to the floors, linens, refrigerator, and more.

In the lawsuit, Pobre claims he initially asked Newton to stick to the terms of his rental agreement once he found out about what was allegedly happening in the home. But after Newton moved out, Pobre says he discovered more than $90,000 worth of damage. Pobre attempted to recoup that money by contacting Newton, but Newton refused to pay him for the alleged damages. So Pobre is now suing Newton for $270,324.47 total.

If all of this sounds familiar, it's because a similar lawsuit was filed against a different Heisman Trophy winner earlier this year. Johnny Manziel was sued for $32,000 in April after he allegedly damaged a rental home in Los Angeles. Newton has not yet spoken publicly about the lawsuit that was filed against him.
